Pit-fired Stoneware Animals
My work celebrates the animals with whom we share our world. Their forms, shaped by bone and muscle and drive and need, appear powerfully right to me. In seeking to capture these qualities, I rely upon the willingness and spontaneity of stoneware pit-fired in sawdust.
