Elizabeth Santone - felt and watercolor

Watercolor is a joyful medium. The colors glow of their own accord. Many of my watercolors are narrative, urban with puns of both image and word.

Felt is perhaps the oldest textile medium. I have become fascinated with shape—wrinkled, puckered, hairy; kind-of “beyond the hat.”

From McMinnville, go northeast on Hwy 99W to Hwy 47.

From Newberg, go southwest on Hwy 99W to Hwy 47. Follow the signs to Carlton. Turn west on Main, cross the bridge (Main becomes Meadowlake Rd.) The studio is about half a mile from the bridge, on the right as you go west on Meadowlake. The studio is orange!
