My paintings are expressive forms of nature’s spirit and energy using a single, brush stroke technique (sumi-e) on rice paper. Rather than freeze or capture a moment, I try to bring forth the subject’s essence and flow of life through the dynamics of these monochromatic strokes. Sometimes, I apply colored washes to enhance mood.

From downtown McMinnville at 3rd & Adams St. (Hwy 99W), drive 9/10 mile south on 99W to Linfield College. At the second signal by college, turn left (east) onto Linfield Ave. Go two blocks then turn right onto Melrose (second house on west side).
From the intersection of Hwy 18 & 99W south of McMinnville, go ½ mile towards Linfield College/City Center on 99W. Turn right at signal onto Linfield Ave., go two blocks and turn right onto Melrose (second house on west side).
