Tom Alfsen - Wood and Stone Sculpture

My work concerns putting natural materials such as wood and stone together. I often start with an idea for a piece, but I allow the pieces to pick themselves. Rocks and wood are already so beautiful. My art is not so much about creating as it is about allowing things to be what they are.

From Yamhill, at the intersection of Hwy 47 and Hwy 240, go west on Moores Valley Rd. Veer to the left across the Yamhill River. Turn right after crossing the river on Moores Valley Rd. Continue west approximately 1.5 miles to the third mailbox and driveway on the left past Puddy Gulch Rd.
