Blythe Eastman - pit-fired stoneware animals

Blythe Eastman
pit-fired stoneware animals

A rainy winter day spent wandering Portland’s Japanese Gardens has brought new inspiration to my work. While I continue to make and smoke fire clay animals, my style is finding new avenues of expression. Dancers, buddhas, garden lanterns and more populate my studio and my dreams.

Showing at Elaine Walzl’s studio, 870 13th Ct. in Lafayette

Directions: From Newberg or McMinnville take Hwy 99W to Lafayette, turn north at Monroe St. (next to Schoolhouse Antiques). Turn right at 7th. Take the next left at Jackson. Jackson becomes 10th Ct., turn right at Monroe, continue straight and make a right at 13th Ct. The house and studio are at the end of the cul-de-sac.
