Clay is a tactile material. It has smoothness, texture and weight. I make clay objects that are both visually appealing and pleasing to the touch. Clay, to me, should be functional. In addition, the object should feel good in the hands while it is in use.

Directions: From Newberg, take Hwy 240 west towards Yamhill (approximately 5 miles). Turn right onto Dopp Rd. and proceed straight to a four-way stop at Ewing Young Elementary School. Continue straight through the intersection. The driveway will be the third on the left.

From Yamhill, take Hwy 240 east towards Newberg. Turn left onto Dopp Rd. and proceed straight to a four-way stop at Ewing Young Elementary School. Continue straight through the intersection. The driveway will be third on the left. Note: House numbers are not in sequential order prior to the intersection.
