Clare Carver - oil painting

Clare Carver
oil painting

My formal art education took place from 1989-’96 on the east coast. I relocated to Oregon’s Willamette Valley, painting and farming on a 110 year-old homestead in Gaston. I depict literal imagery with a style that is rich and immediate, giving my work a signature depth of color.

Directions: From Yamhill, on Hwy 47 watch for a Shell station on your right. There is a big red barn just before the left turn onto Pike Rd. Go 0.6 mile and turn right onto Bishop-Scott Rd. for 2.5 miles, when the road will turn into gravel. Go 2.5 miles on gravel and turn right at Oakhill Rd. Go about 500 ft. and turn left onto Williams Canyon Rd. for 1.4 miles. The house is at the bottom of the canyon on the left, on a hill. The gray box is on the right. It’s a pink Victorian farmhouse.
