oil painting
For many years I painted the Oregon coast, then went to painting translucent water paintings. After going to Kenya for three weeks with the Seattle Zoo, I was inspired to paint the African wildlife. I paint large and “in your face.” I enjoy every one of them, and never consider them work. Lately I have worked a bit of humor into these paintings. I was an art teacher for many years and found that teaching made me a better artist. My studio is always open to visitors with just a call.
Directions: From McMinnville on Hwy 18, go west approximately 10 miles. About a half mile past the Dairy Queen there is a large highway sign indicating the Sheridan/Willamina Business Loop. The driveway is a right turn just before that sign. Go to the second house, a large white colonial with a white fence. It can be seen from the highway.
