Kathy Thompson
mosaics, tiles and hand-built vessels
I begin by creating a unique design for my mosaic artwork. I hand cut tiles from rolled clay, bisque fire the pieces, then glaze each piece. After a final kiln firing, the tiles are jig-sawed together on a base, then set in grout. The process takes several weeks from beginning to completion.
