While I continue to paint Willamette Valley and coastal landscapes, this summer I began a series of works from the Alvord Desert in Southeastern Oregon. Together they are a visual pilgrimage to a place I visited with my father.

Directions: From McMinnville, go west on Hwy 18, take the Sheridan/Willamina Business Loop exit to the stoplight. Continue straight 1.7 miles to Rock Creek Rd. (big green tanks). Turn right, follow the curves 1.5 miles to Moriah Ln. Turn right and come up a hundred yards or so, past the grey house with the big cedar. Follow the 90° turns to the left, then right. Watch for a utility pole, two metal gates and the yellow sign at my driveway to the right.
