Acrylic & Watercolor Painting
My acrylic and watercolor paintings portray a moment in time, using texture and harmonious colors to express a mood or emotion. The background is often abstracted, with the figures or objects emerging but connected to it. The entire painting expresses energy and joy. I begin my acrylics and watercolors by pouring paint on the canvas or paper, thus creating an abstract, texturized background. I then try to integrate a recognizable subject into this background. A strong use of light and dark patterns flowing throughout the painting unifies the abstract and the real.
